The eligibility criteria for keam are,

Nationality

Candidates should be of Indian nationality.

However, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) will also be termed eligible for KEAM 2021. These candidates will not be eligible for reservation.

Domicile

Candidates have to belong to one of the following categories - Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I (NK I) or Non-Keralite Category II (NK II). To prove the domicile, the candidates will be required to submit certain documents.

So only a keralite or the one having domcile certificate of kerala can only participate in keam .

Eligibility for applying for KEAM is:

1. Candidate must be Indian National

2. candidate must attained the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2020. There is no relaxation in the minimum age.

3. Candidate must have passed their Higher Secondary Examination from Kerala or equivalent exam with minimum 45% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
