Hello Tanmay,

Hope you are doing well.

In order to become Data Scientist, Students are expected to complete the 10 + 2 successfully by obtaining at least 50 per cent marks from any recognised board of India in the science stream consisting of physics , chemistry , and mathematics , computer science as compulsory subjects. They do need to study economics and statistics to get a clearer understanding of the course.

After clearing the Entrance exam such as JEE Mains, JEE Advance, VITEEE, BITSAT, SRMJEE etc.

some of of the popular courses for data scientist is as such :

  • B.Tech in Information Technology
  • B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence
  • B.Tech in Data Science and Engineering
  • B.Tech in Computer science
  • B.Stat(statistics)
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science
  • B.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning

However if you want to choose between B.Tech in CSE or BCA, You can go for either of the one but B.Tech in CSE would be more advantageous.

Hi aspirant,

Going with computer science and engineering will be a way better option if you want to pursue a career in field of Data sciences. Basically it is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from noisy, structured and unstructured data, and apply knowledge and actionable insights from data across a broad range of application domains.

Going with CSE will have a benefit that you will be better able to process different structures and algorithms due to prior knowledge of various languages and software by integrating them. You will also get better opportunities in terms of packages and job offers as you will have a better knowledge in comparison to a graduate in in computer applications.

Hope it helps!!
