first of all if your college coducts exams on credit base system then you can face a problem .there are certain numbers of papersin which you can give your backlog exams .above which you can face year back .which would be much damaging . however if you have enough credits then you can easily drop second semester and can clear it in 4th semester . your semesters will be continued .read the year backlog criteria for your college . i think it may be on your first sem results .
