 As your rank is quite low thus getting into vit seems quite impossible. But you can keep a track of seat filling . If people in between leave seats , you may get into some branch of vit . Thus I would suggest you to follow the seat filling (counseling) process. Whenever you feel that seat filling around your rank has come, you can go and apply for the same.
