For admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs, students must have obtained a minimum of 75 percent in their class 12th board examinations or must place in the top 20%ile in their qualifying test.

A minimum of 65 percent marks are required for reserved category applicants to get admitted to various undergraduate programmes offered at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs.
