Saini, this is the pilot year of AIIMS conducting its admissions through NEET score. So how things might unfold needs to be seen. Now for a General Category student, the minimum aggregate required for qualifying for NEET is 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 40% for OBC,SC,ST and 45% for PWD. Now AIIMS has different aggregates with English being included. For a General Category Candidate, the minimum aggregate required in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English is 60% and it is 50% for Reserved Categories. Now because NEET is the entrance exam, the core eligibility criteria will remain that of NEETs'. But for being considered to be shortliisted for AIIMS merit list, you might have to secure AIIMS aggregates.

AIIMS 2020 eligibility criteria

• Nationality-Indian citizens,OCI and foreign National Candidates are eligible to apply.
• Qualification-  Candidates must qualify 12th /SSC examination or Intermediate Science or any equivalent examination.
• Mandatory subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with English.
• Percentage- Candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks(50%for SC/ST/OPH and Foreign National)
• Lower age limit- Candidates must be 17 years in age as on 31st December 2020.
