With that rank, you might not get admission in the top colleges like Maharaja agar seen, etc of the university. However, you definitely have a chance of getting in colleges like GB pant, Jims, etc. You will have to participate in the counseling to get admission in IP university.

You need to mention your rank
If you belongs to sc/st  you have no chances to get a seat in  mechanical engineering in IPU
However it is difficult if you belongs to general or obc category.. Your rank is too far
