Sastra University provides admission in undergraduate BTECh courses according to 2 streams. Stream 1 which includes boyh JEE  Main percentage and Board Percentage and second one is stream 2 where only Board Marks are considered. So there isn't much necessity for a good score in JEE Mains.

All you need to do now is to fill application form.

• The application forms for the admission to UG courses will be released in 4th week of march and form filling process will continue till !st week of June. So don't forget to fill the application form.
• Rank list will be announced in the 2nd week of June.
• Counselling procedure will start in the 4th week of June.

Modes of Admission:

Stream 1

• 70% of the admissions will be provided by this mode.
• In this, 30% weightage of JEE Mains marks will be taken and
• 70% weightage of Board Marks will be taken.
• Combining both the results, they will release the Rank List and accordingly you will get admission.

Stream 2

• 30% admissions will be provided by this mode.
• In this only your board percentage will be considered.
• Based on your board marks, you will get admission.

For Sastra University, there is no cut-off. It is based on 12th percentage and JEE Main marks (Sastra University will calculate like this 12th percentage * 0.75+JEE Mains marks * 0.25)  total 165. You will get admission based on the marks you acquire out of 165.

The admission is based on two ways:Stream 1: JEE main marks + board exam marks (70% seats)Stream 2: only board exam marks (30% seats)There is no specific cut off to get a seat in SASTRA University. It depends on the student who scores the highest marks. If you have appeared for JEE Mains then apply under stream 1. If your board exam marks is 90-95% and JEE main marks is between 50-120 then you can get admission under stream 1. For stream 2, your board exam marks should be at least above 85-90% to get a seat and if it is more than 95% you can get a good course.

There wont be any cutoff for entering into Sastra University. Counselling is based on ranks given by the University. Ranks are given on the basis of Jee mains - 25% and Board marks - 75%. However, to be on the safer side, you need approximately 100+ marks in Jee mains or a 95%+ marks in your boards.
