yes you can get an admission. As you said that the pape was tough then the closing rank will increase this year.

If you get an rank less than 1000 then you may get CSE branch.

you can go for other branches like:-

1.ECE

2. Industrial engineering

you might be intrested in CSE only.. you can apply for that.. but give for ECE too.

ECE is also a good department and has high scope. It will be plus point if you study CSE subjects along them.

It will be tough but this will help you lot. You have to compromise but it is beneficial during your job time.
