NSIT provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering.

NSIT UG (undergraduate)2019 admission will be based on marks secured in JEE main .

Educational qualifications for UG admissions include:

You should have passed class 12 from ICSE, CBSE board.

You must have opted for Science stream in class 11-12. And must have opted physics , mathematics, and chemistry as core subjects in class 12.

If you are of general category then you need 60% marks in class 12 to get admission in NSIT.

Candidates of reserved category will be given relaxation in of marks scored in class 12: OBC-NCL- 27%

Schedule castes- 15%

Schedule Tribes- 7.5%

Defence Category- 5%

Differently abled persons (PD)- 3%

Kashmiri MigranT-Mobile 1%


JEE main rank will be considered for B.Tech courses .

And also for undergraduate courses

Candidates will get admission into these courses on the basis of marks obtained in JEE main entrance exam( PAPER 1).

Also admission in BTech will be done by Joint Admission Counselling (JAC).

So yes you need to give JEE entrance exam to get admission bin NSIT.

You need to qualify JEE mains in order to get admission in NSIT for the BE program. Every college has either its own set of exams or they choose candidates based on the common entrance exam of JEE.

Yes , to get an admission in NSIT , you need to appear JEE Mains.The admission in done through the JEE All India Rank.40% weightage has been given to class XII or equivalent other qualifying examination marks and 60% to the performance in JEE (Main).

Eligibilty for NSIT is same as that of the JEE Mains.85% of the total seats at NSIT is reserved for Delhi Region Candidates and 15% for outside Delhi region candidates.

Courses offered and number of seats in each coure are:



Electronics and Communication Engineering   = 37



Manufacturing Process and Automation Engineering = 73



Computer Science and Engineering = 30



Instrumentation and Control Engineering = 66



Bio-tech = 30



Information technology = 36



Mechanical Engineering = 75



To get a seat you should aim to score 250

Placement of NSIT is very good  with students been recruited by Google, facebook, Linkdln,Microsoft etc with a average package of 7 to 7.5 lakhs.

Yes. NSIT Delhi takes admission on the basis of JEE Mains rank. So, in order to get admission you need to write JEE mains and clear it. The cut offs vary every year, but a marks of 200+ should get a good course along with a good board percentile. If you are aiming for popular courses like Computer Science or Electrical engineering, aim for a score of 270+. Good luck.
