Hello Sakshi,

Yes you can apply for SRM University for Engineering.It is a private university.It doesn't have anything to do with mains percentile.You have to appear for SRMJEE to apply there.For more details about SRM you can check out below link

Unfortunately, SRM University DOES NOT consider your JEE-MAIN scores for their admission process. You need to apply for SRMJEEE 2016, which is the qualifying admission exam for admissions into SRM University. The registrations for SRMJEEE 2016 are open now and you can apply online at their official website here at home.

The main campus of SRM University is located at Kattankulathur and is known as SRM-Kattankulathur/SRM-Main Campus/SRM-KTR. As per last year's statistics, to get into SRM-KTR for CSE via Category-A in merit, you need to get a rank better than around 6000 in SRMJEEE 2016.

Hello Sakshi , why not? I think you should just go for it. SRMJEE is not at all like JEE and it tests you on a more basic way than JEE. Hope you get your desired results. All the best for your future endeavours.
