It's good that you tried and attempt jee mains and got 78.8 percentile. But with this percentile it is very difficult to get admission in any good NIT with a normal branch. Your rank will be very high at this score. But you may get some lower branch in some of the gfti's in the last round of counseling with home state quota.

Like last year students got admission in bits mesra in biotech branch with approx 1.5 lakh rank. Better you go for your state colleges along with home state quota.

Keep trying I'm sure you will get a good college.
