Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was a regional college founded in1987 that was converted into NIT in 2002. The size of the campus is 154 acres. Also, this college is accredited by the NBA.

Ranking:

The university is mandated by the UGC act and possesses 78th rank in the overall category and 49th rank in the engineering category in NIRF 2021 Rankings. The university secured 52nd rank in NIRF Rankings 2020.

Punjab Engineering College is a grant-in-aid institution that became a deemed university in 2003 through the guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The college has been accredited by NAAC.
