This is previous year data which shows that you have pretty good chances to secure a seat in desired college.

The final SC category rank, i.e. the cutoff, for IEST, Shibpur was 5506 in 2018. The branch was Mining Engineering. This was the home state rank for the gender neutral seats.
If West Bengal is your home state and you are a female only candidate, then the situation is much more suitable. The cutoff rank for civil engineering was 8467 and for Mining, it was 11067. These are the statistics of 2018.
This surely turns the tables to your benefit, considering you satisfy all the pre mentioned criteria. But I still would suggest you not to get your hopes too high and still consider other options as these ranks may differ by some margin this year.
