But the only thing you have to verify is that the certificate must be issued by the concerned authorities. The certificate must be in the proper format as per the authorities guidelines.

Your EWS category certificate issued on or after 01-April-2020, should be uploaded for availing the benefits of GEN-EWS category.

But if you don't have latest certificate right now, then you have to upload a declaration instead of category certificate that you will upload a fresh certificate (issued on or after April 1, 2021) by October 02 2021.
