After you pass the 10th board exam you can continue in a school and after 2 years when you will pass the 12th board exam you can appear for BITSAT conducted by BITS Pilani and get a admission there if you qualify.

And moreover there is no lateral entry in BITS.

There is no Lateral Entry scheme in BITS Pilani. You need to complete your class 12 and also qualify BITSAT conducted by BITS to get admission there.

Dear aspirant,

-Yes,polytechnic is very good course after 10th.

-Polytechnic course will make you job ready in 3 years after 10th pass .You can apply for many jobs on the basis of your polytechnic diploma.

-When others will be searching for admission in college you will be in your last year diploma and can start earning before them who are doing 10+2.

-You can also apply for B.tech lateral entry into 2nd year after doing your polytechnic diploma.

-So if you want to do job in less young then polytechnic is surely a better course.

• But if you want admission in BITS,then you should continue with your school as there is no lateral entry in any three of Bits,only way to get admission in Bits is BITSAT,that is conducted every year to get admission into BITS.

So if you want admission in Bits then continue with your school, and start preparing from now onwards for BITSAT.
BITSAT EXAM PATTERN-
BITSAT Consists of 150 questions(+12 Extra Questions if you attempt all the 150 and have time left).The breakup of questions is as follows-

Physics-40 Questions(+4 Extra Questions)

Chemistry-40 Questions(+4 Extra Questions)

Mathematics-45 Questions(+4 Extra Questions)

English & Logical Reasoning-25 Questions

To prepare for BITSAT from 11th,Refer PCM books of NCERT( finish it fully) amd with that start Preparing from ARIHANT BITSAT Book.
