Yes, with Msc environmental science or even ma in any course or any post graduation, you will be eligible for UGC NET and after clearing it, you can be an assistant professor, all you need is to have at least 55% marks in your Post graduation to be eligible for UGC NET

While applying for UGC NET you need to select the test for the subject which have studied in your post-graduation. In case if your post graduation  subject  is not given in the list , then you  can choose the relevant subject from the list as per your preference.
