APT stands for Academic Proficiency Test. It is a test conducted by Shiv Nadar University, Delhi. It has question purely related to the course you have opted for. As the name have Proficiency so this test actually evaluate your knowledge of the subjects. The question are from core topics of the domains, also some basic question that we usually don't know about, that means questions related to the base and foundation of the domains can also be asked. 

My advise to you is prepare hard, and do well.
