Shiv Nadar University, MBA

Placements : Many students here are corporate students on Sabbatical so the other candidates enjoy a unique position of having the full force of the placement cell. many companies come here for placements. Dell HCL among many others. They also offer the students a very healthy package. Infrastructure : Infrastructure is better than excellent when comparing to most of the colleges. Most of the sprawling campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Security is taken very seriously here with the entry and exist to the campus now controlled through biometric entry system. The Hostels are excellent with all modern amenities. Hostels even boast of 24 hours hot water from September through all winter along with Microwave and vending machine. The sports facilities are commendable with options for most of the indoor and outdoor sports along with an indoor stadium. There is even a rockclimbing wall for the more adventurous. Faculty : It is an excellent choice for perusing MBA degree. Most of the faculty have a long experience of teaching in foreign universities in US or UK. They have chosen Shiv Nadar University as their workplace on returning to their motherland. This alone gives us an advantage over other universities as they foster a unique environment suitable to guide students to be successful in today's shrinking global work place.

So, it has only been a year and I have fallen for this place. I joined this university after a lot of research and it stood up to my expectation. In terms of infrastructure, there isn't a thing to complain about, Infrastructure is at par with international standards. The presence of opportunities for all-round development can't be denied. Studies are one of the priorities here. The presence of different clubs and their active involvement in campus life gives us the opportunity for meeting like-minded people and even widening and exploring our true area of interest.

The 3 years that I have spent in SNU has been simply amazing! SNU is a multidisciplinary university so you get the opportunity to interact and share your views with faculty and students across all platforms. The class schedule is flexible and you get enough free time between classes.(some days can be pretty hectic though) If you are active enough, then you will be occupied in some activity or the other. The university conducts various workshops and seminars on a regular basis to keep interested students occupied. We don't have any restrictions as such(hostel timings etc.) and we can do whatever, whenever we want, provided it is within the law. It's a mind blowing experience to be here and get a sense of responsibility. Campus life has its own fun. The infrastructure at SNU is very very good and placements are not so good so far.

The day I entered this university, I just knew that i have interest in business and studying about it but the college made me discover my true ambitions. The confidence I gained is a result of the various activities and competitions i have participated in. The university has more than 35 clubs and we can be part of any club irrespective of our major. I have never seen a college which has a nightlife like SNU. The campus is lively all throughout the day, be it during or after classes. The classes are made in a way to encourage interaction and participation of each student. I have done various unique courses like 'Creativity and innovation management' ; 'Japanese Management' ; and many others. The best thing about the management school is that it offers courses from various fields like finance, marketing, hr, strategy, operations, technology, etc and on top of it, allows us to pursue a specialization in any field we like. I was shocked to see the hostel facilities in SNU. We are provided with proper pantries, washing machines, regular laundry system, gym, 24*7 study rooms, clean washrooms and spacious rooms. The curriculum is designed in a way to introduce us in the real corporate world. We have social sector and business sector internships. We have industrial visits, Entrepreneurship summits, workshops, guests lectures by renowned speakers and scholars and much more. The faculties have a lot of business experience and exceptional knowledge in their field. I have met many people in this university from various corners of the country which helped me in my personality development.

A roller coaster ride

My experience in SNU has been exhilarating like a roller coaster ride. This college never sleeps, it's always hustling! I feel the biggest USP of SNU is the faculty here. In BMS( Bachelors in Management Studies) we've had courses like: 'From Creativity to Innovation' - The course taught us how to think out of the box and how to see things differently. 'Japanese Management'- It taught us 'Zen Philosophy' and the various Management techniques of Japanese Organisations. 'Technology & Digital Economy'- All classes were discussion based and we had different experts in every class teaching us the Business Applications of the latest technology like:- 'Blockchain and Crypto-currency', '3D printing', 'IoT(Internet of Things and Artifical Intelligence') You have to see the infrastructure for yourself, we have a sprawling 286 Acre Campus which is simply 'picturesque'. There are a lot of clubs like TEDx, Snuphoria(Music Society), Inspiria(Business Society), Finvest(Finance & Investment Cell), Inferno(Dance Society) etc which makes the college environment culturally rich. Almost everyone in college is on some kind of a scholarship and the crowd here is diverse and intellectually stimulating as we have people from all backgrounds ( Engineering, Humanities, Management etc)

It's more about the experiences in life than about getting spoon fed by someone. This place has it all, aesthetic buildings, multi - disciplinary approach, project oriented syllabus. I spent a wonderful year learning, looking forward to the rest. Learnt how to live life... thanks to this amazing place. There can't be another university like SNU. It's not just an institute, it's a nursery for a new breed of world leaders....It's fulfilling the real needs of higher education by inculcating and nurturing critical thinking and providing avenues to explore hidden potentials of students.

Shiv Nadar University- A place to discover the gem in you

I won't blabber about SNU, as it is my own college but actually tell you why I left other prestige Engineering colleges for it. We all know that in today's world of being a jack of everything and that too you have to be good if you have to survive and beats the odds to success. I would say that I never heard that an engineering college will be teaching you about archeology or with a degree in ECE you can complete your dream of photography. Yes this is what goes in and around in SNU. SNU follows the major minor rule where the major is one you enroll in and the minor is your own choice. You can choose from various other courses like Archeology management painting design and be a minor which will be mentioned in your degree. SNU has a breathtaking campus with 286 acre in total and 120 acre under operation. SNU not only has a daylight college going life as it is a compulsory residential college, it has a great night life with no curfew as such you can go for a walk in the midnight breeze and enjoy the chilly winds and mornings. SNU is not behind in anything with sports like basketball, badminton, table tennis being available both indoor and outdoor. We also have a football field and a cricket ground. A man man size chess board. The new indoor sports complex is opened with facilities for gymnastics, basketball, table tennis. The hostels are comfortable. SNU also has many links with foreign universities and has ongoing exchange programs, many students have gone to IVY league Universities after being SNU. Many giants like Siemens, L&T, Mahindra Autocop are just a few to name which come to the college for recruitments. SNU is a college that takes care of you as a mother does to her child. But it also exposes you to the world and makes you fight for each and every scope for betterment. Hoping to see you at SNU.

Admissions: The best thing I found about the admission process of Shiv Nadar University is that they don't just consider your mains marks or boards score for selection and/or decision of your branch of study. Everything is kept in mind along with your SNUSAT,APT and your SOP. You might ask how this is better. I'll tell you why i think it is. Your future henceforth shouldn't be decided based on one exam, and SNU understands that. Even if you feel you messed up your mains/boards, you still have a chance to redeem yourself with their entrance test and your SOP(so write it wholeheartedly). The SNUSAT and APT is also a testament to this as the syllabus is only what you've been taught till 12th. Together they test you on multiple things and judge you overall. Also there is no management quota, every person who gets in, deserves to. This also provides an exemplary environment for social interaction. Academics: I feel academics here is taken very seriously. The faculty put in a lot of work and effort in teaching and especially in the setting of exams. The grading and syllabus is set in such a way that it ensures that you do not slack off. You've written that you're interested in CSE, so I'm mentioning the SNU ACM student chapter that holds regular events including coding competitions. A few students have also participated in GSoC successfully. The environment at SNU is also very study friendly, most utilise the opportunies given to them. The library is a brilliant place to study and stays almost full during the days of exams. A great initiative taken by seniors to help decrease the work load and doubts of their juniors, is the LASC program, where they teach important concepts and help plan our approach to exams. Social life SNU has many opportunies where you can increase your social circle. Taking UWEs and CCCs help you to interact with students from different branches, schools of study and also a different year. From the student's side, there are many clubs which actively hold events throughout the year which create a chance for social interaction. A notable student initiative from the music society is the SMP program where you can learn to play an instrument/sing, which also creates a chance to increase your friends circle. Our annual college fest BREEZE which gets better every year, is a chance for you to meet people from other universities. Also, friendly intercollege competitions are held, organised by clubs. All these don't promise you a thriving social life, if you just sit in your room and stick to your laptop there's nothing anyone can do. Rules You are given a lot of freedom in SNU. You are treated like an adult, so it's expected of you to act like one. (Other answers have already provided enough information about this. ) Hostel life Again, the infrastructure isn't something I'm going to write about. Hostel life at shiv nadar university is frankly the best part of it. All the best memories are made here. Sure there is the library, canopies, and what not , but it all begins and ends at the hostel. During all the boring classes the welcoming sight of your bed and the comfort it gives will be embedded into your mind. Having lived in a hostel before, i felt this one was comparatively much better. The infrastructure is great (googling will get you pics), as for cleanliness, it's as clean as you keep it. The laundry and cleaning system are very thorough. For a hostel in an Indian college, frankly, this is almost as good as it gets. Coming to the food, it's decent and on a few occasions really good. It'll never compare to food cooked at home, but you get used to it. You always have the choice of buying food a la carte, which is comparable to restaurant quality. Also various tuck shops are available at convenient places all over the college. If there's ever an extreme situation where you can't get anything, food from Dhabas is only a call away. Placements: As for the 2017 batch, whatever I've heard is through word of mouth as that information hasn't been disclosed yet. I'll update this answer as soon as it is. Although, after a year, i have understood that placement truly matters on the individual and his diligence. Companies like Amazon, Dell have come to SNU, so it matters on how you utilise the opportunities given. Considering it started in 2011 and how much it has achieved already, I'd like to end by saying, SNU is on a path to excellence.

With only 6 years into functioning, Shiv Nadar University has gathered a name for itself already. Although during the time of my admission, it had not gained much popularity, there were 2 major factors that prompted parents to send their wards to SNU. One was their accordance with SSN, a well established college under Anna University, Tamil Nadu and secondly the brand name HCL itself. At a neat stretch of 60 km, it sure is a joyful ride from the airport or the railway station to the campus. Crossing states, transcending from industries to simple paddy fields, the sudden gush of excitement hits you once the campus becomes visible. The stringency in the security is very palpable write from the main gate. Spread at an area of 200 acres, the campus comprises of 4 schools: School of Engineering, School of Natural Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Management and Entrepreneurship offering Doctoral, Master's and Bachelor's degree across various streams. The college is set up with a notion to bring out a driving force and ensure a sense of responsibility in students by giving them apt freedom to make the ultimate choice. From changing their Majored subject to changing their hostel rooms, the student is given all power to do so. A three floored massive library functions from 9 am to 2 am in the night along with 2 mess hall that goes by the same timing. This might pop questions in minds, but do not forget that SNU is strictly a residential campus and such timings have always been set up beneficiary for students. The lights set up in a park cum sitting area often referred to as the Central vista are a treat to the eyes. Sports is highly encouraged in college with Volleyball, Tennis courts and cricketing grounds along with magnum football field too.A recent Indoor Stadium Complex has also been built that contains Basketball courts, Badminton courts and a fully equipped full fledged fitness centre. There are around 8 hostels, separate ones for both genders and a residential building were parents and visitors can come and reside. A/C hostels are also available. The most happening thing in SNU is the fact that students are given entire control over what happens in SNU. This brings about a sense of belonging and unity amongst students. The curriculum when once read through vividly describes my prior statement. The admission criteria is truly merit based and each student would be offered a scholarship for the tution fee based on his/her 12th marks or respective competitive examination scores. However, the scholarship only prevails if the student manages to maintain a minimum CGPA score of 6.5 at the end of every semester. Since the college is still growing, complete construction of infrastructure as per the original plan has not happened yet but as a student from the third batch of the University, the growth I have witnessed so far has been immense.

SNU : A BOON OR BANE

Batch of 2020 | B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Founded in 2011 in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, India, by Mr. Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of HCL, Shiv Nadar University is a multi-disciplinary and research focused university. There are many academic programs at the UG, PG and Doctoral level. Located on a 286-acre campus (and still expanding) in NCR, the University is established as a State Private University. The campus of the University is beautifully furnished with all the basic necessities provided at hand. The two-storey library provides great deal of knowledge, the necessary courts for various sports are at the students’ disposal 24*7. Everything, from the academic blocks to the hostels, is fully functional. There is this certain problem about the lack of air conditioners in the hostel rooms, but the students are allowed to bring their own coolers so that is sorted too. The academics in the college are strict. The 75% attendance rule is taken very seriously in each subject. The students are given a variety of subjects to choose from B.Tech to B.Sc. (research) to BioTech to BA Hons. And along with that, they get a choice of choosing their minor. The whole concept of CCCs, UWEs, VELS and REAL is kind of confusing in the beginning but soon it all clears up and one does not have to worry about that. The exams as well as the tests are quite important, though. Because they give a scholarship to only those students with a CGPA of above 6, it kind of becomes rather to cross that mark sometimes. However, if you choose your subjects wisely, things begin easing up. Then again there is this problem of continuous quizzes and tests. Every week, one has to give at least one quiz and depending upon the subject that he or she has, it can vary to almost 3 quizzes in a day. So that is one difficult thing, but other than that, the college – its infrastructure, the faculty, the way of teaching (if you have the right teachers) is good. One just needs to be sure over how to learn and revise. But then again, let's not forget that the only negative aspect about the college (Except the umpteen number of quizzes) is the distance from some civilization. Don't get me wrong. There is crowd around the campus everywhere, just not the type that one would like to have.

Right now, it's one of its kind in India. It's well funded and a non-profit organization. These days, you rarely see those qualities going hand in hand. About the university education, the tagline says it all, "multi-disciplinary research-led university". Whatever you want, the university gives it all. You just need to know what you want. It has world class infrastructure and facilities. On the downside, it has a locational disadvantage. summerizing..... Good infrastructure(well funded). Great faculty Different approach(major-minor) Complete autonomy(not bound by outdated and centralized University patterns) Cultural diversity Freedom for students(no hostel timings or strict dress codes) Great exposure for students(guest speakers and workshops) Decent male - female ratio Multi disciplinary(humanities, management, engineering, naturally sciences, upcoming disciplines) Good peer, peer interaction. You will not regret joining this college...

One of the best universities to make you know your potential

I have joined this university with lots of confusion. Initially, I couldn't decide if I had taken a right choice by joining in this university. But now I strongly feel that it is one of the best decisions in my life. To start with, SNU has the best infrastructure. The way it is planned and constructed is really outstanding. The happiest part is, it doesn't take more than 5-7 minutes to walk from one place to other in the university, be it from hostels to academic blocks, academic blocks to mess, mess to grounds, mess to the hostel, let it be anything. So it really doesn't consume much of our time. The hostels are really sophisticated and are extremely spacious. Each student is provided with a whole set of required things like a bed, cupboard, study table, chair, etc. They are neatly maintained too. Coming to academics, the education system is quite impressive here. We are allowed to take whatever course we are interested in. And we can also attain a minor along with our major which actually helps students in broadening their wide range of spectrum by attaining knowledge in different subjects. The faculty here are very experienced and are highly interactive. They help us gain more knowledge by explaining many realistic issues.Students here can also do research and write papers in their undergraduate level which is not seen or heard in any of the other colleges. The mess food is quite fine when compared to other universities and is very hygienic. The basketball, badminton and other courts are really good! The university also has an indoor sports complex. Two major fests are conducted in a year and students enthusiastically participate in all of them. And one of the biggest assets of the university is its library. Amazing library it has with many volumes and collection of books. It also has a mini cafe inside it which serves delicious stuff. According to my opinion, the only drawback of this university is, it is situated in an area far away from the city.It is around 30-45 minutes away from greater Noida. So you really have to plan to go out and spend time outside the university because you wouldn't have anything near the university. The peer group and seniors are also extremely supportive and we can actually witness varied cultures. On an overall note, it is advisable to join in this university if you have a clear aim of what you want to do in your life and you would actually see a new YOU after four years of your under graduation. It would nurture you in such a way so as to build your overall personality and make you a valuable item useful for Indian market and economy.

SNU offers you a life that no college in India does so far. It has a unique, multi-disciplinary style, developing students into all-round adults. It had very good infrastructure and a bustling college life. The student crowd is enthusiastic and independent, working zealously for themselves. The faculty can be found lacking sometimes though, being a new college. The major drawback is their lack of experience, even if that is compensated by a very good knowledge and qualifications. Placements also are still picking pace, since it is a new college. Yet, students are made self-sufficient so they can earn their own jobs.

Shiv Nadar University - A home to rediscover yourself

SIMRAN BATHLA

Batch of 2020
Shiv Nadar University is another home to a whole lot of people from various regions and religions which makes life here a bit different but sundry. Here life is a perfect blend of studies , sports and cultural activities and I thoroughly enjoy it. The best part of studying here is that you can also take up subjects which do not belong to your major course. And it is also quite flexible as students are allowed to change their majors if required. The infrastructure of the university is very appealing and it occupies an enormous part of land. Here the major attraction is the library which is not only a hub of informative books but also an example of an edifice. The hostels , the academic blocks and the dining halls , all are quite nicely built with all the necessary facilities available. Faculty here is totally research based and all of them are highly educated. I wont say that all of them are very good when it comes to teaching as this art doesn't come easily to everyone but, they are always ready to help students anytime. The placement record of the university is pretty decent. It doesn't mean that the students here are able to bag some enormous packages but 95% of the students applying for jobs get a decent one. This whole place is a hub of activities. Every moment there is something to attend , participate or enjoy. There are so many clubs being run over here and the best part is that they are run by the students and for the students. For a good part of the year , you have some or the other event to look upto and buckle up for. I don't say that these so many events are always a success but they do help you to learn and grow. In all this university provides a platform to every student to rediscover his interests , learn and grow individually.

World Class Experience

Posted on 04 Feb' 17 by Nitish Bharadwaj
Batch of 2018 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
It's been 3 years almost for me joining in SNU..to be able to survive in the college which is dominated by northern culture is really difficult( at least that was my initial opinion). But it turned to be the exact opposite. They have been really supportive in every aspect, be it academics, sports or any other co-curricular activities. The academics have been really beneficial, in the sense that, the curriculum was designed in a very sophisticated manner so that we, the students, would become beneficial, having awareness about other colleges or universities outside India. The infrastructure is world class. I haven't seen any of that kind in other colleges. Civil engineers may get inspired by the magnificent structures that they experience here daily :p Even the people around you make you feel comfortable by kind gestures, even if you are from a different region. Coming to the second bedroom in my life(our rooms..again sarcasm :p ), we have a very sufficiently spaced rooms so that we get the appropriate ventilation. Last but not the least ( actually this would be the first point freshers would look up to) The Affordabilty.. Every student in our university joins with a scholarship. We have different scholarship bands that depends on the student's 11th and 12th scores. Finally I conclude by saying that " If you want to experience world class experience in the undergraduate level, opt for SNU "

Journey I have covered after stepping into this great university has been a roller coaster ride. Initially it was hard to make new friends, i used to miss my school friends a lot. Slowly i realised life is all about interacting with new people and keep yourself flexible to the world around, no wonder I have some great friends now. Hostels are good, mess serves tasty food, faculty is top notch from ivy league, IIM's and other great institutions. Placements are a worry but its okay , university being only 5 years old has done great and obviously with time everything improves. Bits Pilani gained appreciation after some 30 odd years, so let SNU breath and we can surely expect great things from the students and the university in future.

There are good faculty, there are not so good faculty. All of them hold great degrees but teaching is a skill not easily acquired by all. Infrastructure is marvelous, especially the labs that are equipped with machines and tools found not very common in India. The hostels are miles ahead compared to those in other campuses, though a bit expensive. The library is not only a beautiful peace of architecture but a great place to immerse in a quest for knowledge. New buildings and other facilities are coming up at an amazing rate with construction work going on 24/7. The biggest drawback of SNU is it's over emphasis of Hindi. A few teachers especially lab assistants teach purely in Hindi and that too when they know reasonable English. If you don't speak/understand basic Hindi you will have minor difficulties not only academics related but also in other aspects.

One of a kind university

If you are looking for a research oriented university, this is THE university. Our university , as mentioned earlier, is one of its kind. As it is a new university, it will take time to establish itself. But our curriculum is very similar to that of the IITs. It aims at the overall development of an individual. We have an opportunity to pursue a minor in the course we are interested in, apart from our major. And this would be mentioned in our certificates and would make a huge difference in our profile. Our university gives us a scope of interning in an academic environment as we have a tie up with the DUKE University. Our placements are not that great, but 100% placement is guaranteed. Moreover, most of the students are interested in pursuing higher education rather than taking up jobs. Personally, I feel this university will be at par with the league colleges in near future and presently is much better than the private establishments. For recreational activities, we have many cultural events that take place from time to time. The other events are Breeze, the college fest, SNUSL, the SNU sports League and many more. We also have many clubs, the students can be a part of.

My Ratings say it all! Excellent Infrastructure and Campus life. Sports and other extra curriculars are given great importance. The faculty is research oriented and hence you might find them a little wierd but all of them are heavyweights, on paper. The flexibility and diversity available during course selection makes it a truly student centric University. There are numerous student led and run clubs ranging from a clichéd Dance Society to a really cool Astronomy Club. Overall, it is not just a run off the mill University but definitely one which would set higher standards for other private universities in our country.

The faculty here is eminent. Individual attention is given to each student. The curriculum is well designed and effective pedagogies are inculcated for its implementation. Some mind boggling courses offered here are impeccably efficient in changing your outlook. Campus life is okay while sport facilities are good

Love for a stranger

Posted on 22 Dec' 16 by Aditya
Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
My title might seem absurd but SNU is a surprise package with the most pleasing outcome. This university gave me friends from literally all 29 states, competition opportunities from business stream, English stream, computer science stream-all of which I was able to win more than an award in, apart from which I joined a startup for game development as a writer that my friend started. That startup today employs students from iit roorkee, kiit, graphic era...And that is just the first year! As a sophomore, I've got to experience a multi disciplinary academic approach by taking a biotech course (btw, my teacher is a breast cancer research scientist bet you can't say the same :P ) which has actually encouraged me to consider a minor in biotech...apart from that, my university has a lake, it's own research labs, concerts and extremely talented societies (dance, music, rubix cube, e-newspaper-that I'm part of, and many more) and that is a scene when this university is only five years old! I have got a chance to speak to students from Duke university during the span of a sociology course and also work on a research project in Design stream. And no, this is not an exaggeration when I say I've only completed all this while enjoying frequent trips with my friends outside campus to places like Delhi zoo, akshardham temple and so on. But coming back to the title, I feel that this university is a gem institute in the middle of nowhere (Dadri, U.P.) so coming here was a shot in the dark but I really think its an overwhelming experience. It's like loving a stranger, only to be rewarded with equal affection as SNU so beautifully reciprocates. This year, we received an award for best upcoming university, and I'm sure that's not the last one we'll receive.

The college infrastructure is excellent , the sports facilities are commendable, but I think the gym facilities can be improved . It would be better if a number of water filters are installed in the hostels . There needs to be an improvement in the placements . Latest advancements in fields of science and technology are needed to be taught in the college , for example, python should be made compulsory for all the students . Frequent industrial tours must be conducted by the college or the industry partner of the university. Because of the scholarships , fees are quite affordable for us.

The World in one Place

The university boasts of a diverse culture, pool of courses, resourceful faculty, and a world-class infrastructure. Exclusive pieces of infrastructure include the library, sports complex, and the academic blocks. The university has a dozen block of hostels. It is a complete residential university. Frankly speaking, one thing I expected more from my hostel was a separate bathroom for each room; but that's asking way too much. The university has professors from reputed institutions. Starting from my first year, I had professors with complete knowledge about their domain and willing to help us at any given point of time. The best part of the college are multi-disciplinary curriculum, On Campus Jobs and student centric approach. We can pursue courses of our interest from different streams as well and complete a Minor degree if we wish. Students from different streams interact, study together in classrooms and get to exchange information on each individuals' perspective. What I found while interacting with students from diverse backgrounds that it helps in open-mindedness, tolerance and knowing each others' alternative viewpoints. The university has a Career Development Centre which connects the university with the outside world. There are talks by people from the corporate world, industries, and research organisations on a weekly basis and every student have the liberty to attend these sessions. To further improve the industry exposure, the university can organise industry visits and absorb more people with experience in the industry in the Career Development Centre. I am in my 3rd year, so 1 more year to receive placement offers. Our college is affordable both financially and personally. Coming to the latter first, the activities and the life here doesn't let one feel away from home. Coming to financial affordability, the University provides scholarships at the time of entrance. Almost all students whom I know are studying here with scholarships. I am studying here on 100% scholarship on tuition fees and only have to pay for my hostel and food expenses. This makes me paying almost one-fourth the total fees when compared to a proper private institution .

Shiv Nadar University is a multi-disciplinary, research focused university. The unique multidisciplinary curriculum at the University helps us to explore and specialize in the areas of our interest. The knowledge and the kind of support, the faculty provides us is simply exceptional. The campus has magnificent structures with the impressive environment. SNU's cultural diversity gives us a chance to interact with students from all over India. My experience so far in SNU has been great. It is a wonderful opportunity to study in a university like this.

The university has good infrastructure. It is relatively new when compared to other universities. It has experienced faculty. Our university provides excellent platform for research .It has excellent sports facilities . People from industry visit our campus and give talks on real world problems ,this increases our exposure t the outer world . Placements are not up to the mark , which is understandable as the university is quite new .

Shiv nadar university never sleeps is the one which aptly describes how people here works. The infrastructure is improving. The main attraction is the central library which persuades the people to come in to it. The faculty are good. We have many college fests like Zephyr Breeze. Overall it's best choice.

The place where I learnt about life and responsibility

Posted on 10 Sep' 16 by Irukulla Kausthub
Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
Our university is fairly new or rather I would say it's a newborn university , built in 2011 . It is the brainchild of IT tycoon and founder of HCL Mr. Shiv Nadar . There are plenty of opportunities for research . The faculty has a lot of experience in teaching. We have a minor program in which we can take courses from various departments . We also have scholarships for students (based on academic performance) . The strength of the college is only around 1800 , so the campus is spacious .But , there needs to be an improvement in placements ,since we are the new university, it will take another 4-5 year . The professors need more industrial experience .The blend of various cultures and traditions makes my college life the best years of my life
