Hello student,
Yes, you can legally repeat your 12th through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) and appear for JEE. Here's how it works:
Legality : Repeating 12th from NIOS is completely legal. NIOS is a recognized board by the Government of India, and its certificates are valid for JEE and other entrance exams.
Marksheet and Certificate : When you complete 12th from NIOS, you'll receive a fresh marksheet and certificate for the year you pass, likely stating the year you appear for the exams (e.g., 2025 if you give the exams in that year).
Old Marksheet Validity : Your previous 12th marksheet (from 2022) will still be valid. However, if you apply for JEE, you'll use your NIOS marksheet for eligibility and admissions.
You can use both your old and new marksheets based on the requirement, but for JEE, the NIOS result will be considered.
