Absolutely you can get admission in GOOD NIT college.....

50 percentile = near 2.5 Lack Very Good For ST Category

It's sufficient to give you NIT COLLEGE

Hey! Hope you are doing well.
Admission to IITs is based on rank secured in JEE Advanced exam.
Even you have got 50%ile in January Mains,you wont get a seat in any of the NITs or IIITs irrespective of your category.
Try hard to get 97%ile + in the April Mains to secure a seat in the NITs or IIITs.
Perform your best in the JEE Advanced exam on 17 May if you want to get into IIT.
