Hi,
Considering the previous years cutoff trends, 80 marks is quite less to get admission in an NLU if you belong to general category.
Last year NLU Trichi, Ranchi, Vizag closed at 99-100 marks for general category.
In my opinion, you should prepare well for the upcoming IPU CET.
Also, If you are keen in taking admission this year only do apply for Nirma and Narsee Monjee as these colleges take admission based on clat rank which remains slightly low.
You can also consider NLC BVP, the last date to apply is 19 June.

The CLAT core committee headed by NUALS Kochi will determine CLAT 2018 cutoff in the month of June. The cutoff of CLAT 2018 will be determined after the CLAT 2018 results are announced. The CLAT cutoff 2018 is considered as minimum marks to be scored by candidates for securing admissions into the National Law Universities (NLUs). The candidates may also note that the CLAT cutoff is also assumed to be the last rank at which a candidate is shortlisted for counselling and admissions to the undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes across NLUs. CLAT 2018 cutoff is the basis for admissions in participating NLUs. Candidates can check here the cutoff trend of CLAT as well as the expected cutoff for NLU admissions 2018, on the link given below:
