National Law University, Delhi has a training and placement cell to organise the placement procedure for the students. Students are also provided training programmes on personality development and communication skills and help them prepare better for the recruitment process. The institute also makes sure that they can help most of the students getting placed into various companies by helping them in every possible way. NLUD also conducts mock tests and practice session classes on Aptitude, Quantitative Ability, Logical and Reasoning to make students practice and get better before appearing for the final Interview and Written test. Detailed description on the whole procedure of placement followed by the Training & Placement cell are mentioned below.
The Training and Placement Cell of National Law University, Delhi sends invitations to recruiting companies for the campus recruitment.
The Training and Placement Cell then fixes the dates with various recruiters based on the salary packages and other eligibility criteria offered by the recruitment companies.
Interested students have to register their names and share their respective resumes with the placement cell.
Students of NLU Delhi are given pre-placement talks by different recruiting companies to make them aware about the policies, roles and job profiles offered by them.
Eligible candidates also have to appear and qualify the written test, group discussion and interview round.
The written test consists of multiple choice questions related to Quantitative aptitude, Logical and Reasoning ability, English competency etc to test the skills and basic knowledge of students.
After clearing the written test, students have to qualify the group discussion round where they have to speak on topics decided by the recruiters to judge the communication and speaking skills of students
After clearing the GD round, students also have to clear various rounds of Interview namely Technical Interview and HR Interview which is conducted to test the communication and management skills of students.
Based on the performance of students of NLUD in the written test, GD round and interview students will be offered placements in different companies with varying salary packages.
There are eighty seats for Five year Integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) course at National Law University, Delhi. Out of the eighty seats, ten seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals and admission on these 10 seats will be given directly to Foreign Nationals on merit. In case a vacancy arises under this quota the same shall be filled for General Category in order of merit.
The admission of foreign nationals however, shall be made based on satisfying the prescribed academic qualifications. They are exempted from taking the admission test. The other rules regarding the eligibility for admission will be applicable to other candidates. The annual tuition fee shall be in Indian rupees equivalent to US Dollars 5,000 for candidates from SAARC countries and US Dollars 10,000 for students from other countries.

Various top Law firms and companies come to NLU,Delhi for Placements which include- Amarchand Mangaldas, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Luthra & Luthra, Khaitan & Co., Lakshmi kumaran & Sridharan, ALG India, Trilegal, AZB & Partners. NLU does not offer LLB programme. It only offers BA LLb programme. The package depends on the student capability & skills but after completing Law programme from NLU Delhi you can expect the average package around 10 to 12 lakh per annum.
