NLU Odisha Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

National Law University Odisha (NLUO) admissions are offered for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes. The NLU Odisha admissions are offered for BA LLB, BBA LLB, LLM, M.Phil and Ph.D. Check the details of the NLU Odisha selection process.

NLUO admissions are based on scores of the CLAT Exam/written test/ merit of the qualifying examination. NLU Odisha BA LLB/BBA LLB admission is based on CLAT scores. NLU Odisha LLM admissions are based on the performance of the students in CLAT PG. Candidates who meet the CLAT cutoff requirement of the course should attend the CLAT counselling process. For admission to a three-year LLB course, candidates are required to obtain a valid score in the NLUO 3-year LLB entrance exam. 

NLU Odisha PhD admissions 2026 are based on the NLU Cuttack entrance test, conducted by the institute, work experience, and a presentation. Candidates who meet the CLAT eligibility criteria of the course can proceed with the NLUO admission process. The eligible candidates should complete the CLAT Registration process and fill up the application form to proceed with the admissions at NLU Cuttack in 2026.

NLU Odisha Registration Process 2026

Consortium of NLUs has released the CLAT 2026 final answer key and results on December 16, 2025. Candidates will be able to check their CLAT scorecards 2026 through the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Consortium of NLUs will release CLAT-UG and CLAT-PG results together

NLU Odisha Admission Process for BA LLB (H)/BBA LLB (H)

• Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can attend the CLAT entrance exam.

• Candidates who meet the CLAT cutoff must attend the counselling process.

• The Shortlisted candidates will be allotted for the NLU Odisha admission.

• Selected candidates can submit all the required documents to NLU Odisha and pay the admission fees of NLU Odisha to confirm seats.

National Law University Odisha offers an LLB course in full-time mode. NLUO Cuttack LLB course is offered for a duration of three years with a specified seat intake. 

NLU Odisha LLB Admission Process

• After meeting the eligibility criteria, candidates are required to take the NLUO All India Entrance Test (NAIET).

• Qualified candidates should attend the counselling process.

• NLUO LLB admissions will be based on the NLUO 3-year LLB entrance exam scores, rank list and seat availability of candidates.

• Selected candidates will be notified regarding the seat allotment.

• Final selected candidates should complete the document verification.

• To complete the admission process, the candidates should pay the NLU Odisha admission fee.

NLU Odisha LLM Admission Process 

• Candidates must meet the NLU Odisha eligibility criteria.

• Eligible Candidates must appear for the CLAT-PG Entrance examination 

• Based on the CLAT-PG entrance examination, the NLU’s consortium released the Cutoff for NLU Odisha LLM Admission. 

• Candidates who secured the eligible cutoff marks in the CLAT exam can participate in the counselling process to secure admission.

• The shortlisted candidates will be allotted for the NLUO LLM Admission.

• The admission process ends after verifying documents and paying the admission fee.

NLU Odisha PhD Admission Process 

• Eligible candidates must register for the NLU Odisha PhD courses through the university website.

• Candidates must attend the Research Entrance Test (NLUORET) and obtain a valid score.

• Candidates who passed the NET/JRF exam conducted by the UGC need not appear for the entrance test.

• Candidates who passed the entrance test with a minimum of 50% will be invited to deliver a presentation.

• NLU Odisha PhD admissions will be granted based on the quality of the presentation, NET/JRF qualifications, and prior work experience.
