Hello Rohit pal,

As you are willing to apply to the gate examination it is nice choice for higher studies

So you want to apply in the reservation of OBC.ncl category

But without the caste certificate you cannot apply that reservation category .so you have to apply for the caste certificate and then apply

Dear Rohit, if you fall under OBC-NCL Category, hen you can apply under OBC-NCL Category. But your Caste should fall under Central OBC list. You can check that at : http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx.

So lets say if your Caste falls under OBC-NCL list, you can avail OBC reservation. But if your Caste falls under General Category, because you have a OBC NCL certificate, you can show the certificate at the time of Written Test and Personal Interview. You need to download the Certificate abd Self declaration format from http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/extrainfo.jsp, fill it up.and self attest it and upload while filling the application form.
