BASLP ( Bachelor in Audiology & speech-language pathology) Is a undergraduate 4 year professional course . 

These 4 years consists of 3 academic years of coursework and 1 Academic year of internship.

BASLP course is about Normal & Disordered functioning of human auditory system. This field is also linked with other fields like psychology, Medicines etc. 

- program offer specialization to Candidates in:

1. Eliminating speech and hearing Disorders 

2. Management and elimination of voice, speech and language disorders , hearing Disorders

3. Techniques to identify people with hearing impairment

4. To study normal and abnormal aspects of voice , speech and language. Learning Disorder.

5. Treating Autism , Mental retardation, stroke/Paralysis, Larynx. Diagnosing central Auditory nervous system , Auditory nerve, middle and inner ear Disorders.

- Eligibility for BASLP : 

  Class 12 qualification in Science stream from recognised educational Board.

Minimum aggregate 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC) in class 12.

Main subjects in class 12: physics, chemistry, Math/ Biology.

If you are awaiting for class 12 results , then also you can apply on provisional basis.

most institutes offer course based on their performance in Relevant entrance test followed by counselling process.

Some institutes admit students on Merit basis , while some conduct entrance test . 

For IPU , major entrance exam is conducted for admission course, i.e. GGSIPU UG entrance exam.

. Hospitals

. Special schools 

. Community care centres and clinics

. Government agencies and health departments

. You can also work with different institutes of education like special schools for mentally challenged.

. To teach at universities and colleges of special children you need to have SET and NET degree.
