If you are a diploma holder and wish to take admission to the B.Tech programmes through Lateral entry in IPU, eligibility criteria is as follows-

Candidates should have completed three years diploma in any of the following branches of Engineering from  any recognized   Diploma   awarding   institute/university/board   recognized   by AICTE: Computer   Engineering;   Automobile   Engineering;   Chemical   Engineering,   Civil   Engineering, Construction   Engineering,   Electrical   Engineering,   Electronics   &   Communication   Engineering, Electronics,   Instrumentation   &   Control,   Mechanical   Engineering.,   Maintenance Engineering,  Plastic  Engineering, Printing  Technology,  Production  Engineering,  Public  Health & Environmental Engineering, Tool & Die Making.

Candidates are required to have secured 60 percent marks in aggregate.

B.Sc Graduates are also eligible for admission to the B.Tech Lateral entry. B.Sc. Graduates should have scored  60% marks in aggregate with pass in Mathematics as  a subject from any recognized University.

Admission Procedure

Admission is done on the basis of merit/ranks of candidates in CET.

Entrance test is expected to be conducted in April.
