The eligibility criteria for appearing in IIST examination is as follows:

• General and OBC candidates must have born on or after 1st October 1993 and SC/ST/PwD candidates must have born on or after 1October 1988.
• Qualified 12th or equivalent exam passed with 75% aggregate (65% marks for SC/ST PwD) with subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 12th standard.
•  Must qualify the JEE Main 2018 JEE Advanced 2018 examinations.
