DU is one of the most reputed and well-renowned universities. It is popularly known for its encouragement and contribution to the field of research. But, the standards have somehow dropped and everyone, including companies, knows this. Central Universities offer good education and are equally focused on research as well. I don't believe you will get the edge over other central university students because they are equally renowned.

It also depends on the field of study and your qualities, experience and intellect, it's not just your alma mater.
