Dear Bhavna, you havent mentioned the State that you have the domicile of. For States like UP, even 479 marks secured a seat in Governmemt Medical College under General Category. For States like Bihar and Delhi the cut offs are higher. In General any score less than 500-550 is difficult for a General Category to secure a seat in a Government Medical College. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam

According to NEET UG 2018 counselling, you have to score accordingly to secure a seat in government medical college. For this year the rank secured by the General Candidates to get an admission in Government Medical colleges is 8281, whereas the marks secured by the candidates is 546 out of 720. Whereas the ST candidates secured ranks around 70612 with marks 409 to secure a seat in government medical colleges. For SC candidates the rank is around 51117 with marks 439. The PH quota candidates have to secure marks around 154 to get a rank like 490673 to take an admission in government medical colleges. For OBC candidates, the rank is around 8299 with marks like 546 to secure admissions in government medical college.
