To get admission in good colleges you have attempt any one or some competition exams like JEE , UPSEE ,NATA , TANCENT e.t.c.

Scope in India here these candidates get government jobs also some of the job profiles Project planner , Urban planner , Interior Designer e.t.c. and you go to higher studies also like M.tech e.t.c.

Yeah of course you can give attempt IES after completing your course you have to choose and prepare any one of it branch paper (Electrical , Mechanical , Civil and Electronics )  .
