Dear aspirant, as per the previous year cutoffs the closing rank of VIT vellore is 27000 and cutoff for electrical and electronics engineering was 16000 at VIT Vellore .But for VIT Chennai the closing rank for electrical and electronics engineering was 39000.

You can easily get the Electrical department in the Chennai branch in category 1.If you want to wait for Vellore it could category 3 and maybe a waste of time. As in Chennai cutoff is around 27000 and above. In Vellore, it could be around 15000 most probably.
Chennai campus is the best of its role for the Vellore campus to be on the safe side.
