Yeah, definitely it's possible,for retaining the seat in allotted college in round first you will have to report the allotted college and then there you will have to choose the upgradation option. If you don't report the college you will not retain the seat and you may or may not get allocated a college in second round depending on cut off second round.

Now if we talk that you will get upgraded surely in second round then no it's not confirm, it's depend on how many higher rank students have leave their seat. If you give lower college than your allotted college then you will get that.

Also once you participate in second round AIQ counseling, either you will have to take admission or you fill have to forfeit your security deposit money. There is no free exit in second round of AIQ counseling as of first round.
