To inform you, YES, IIEST offers admissions only on the basis of JEE MAINS  scores (paper 1 and 2).
Here are the other eligibility criteria required to get admissions in IIEST:

Candidates seeking admission to the IIST Shibpur for Dual Degree BTech and BArch Programme must be a citizen of India.The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in General or Vocational Stream of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education with English and Physics or any one of the following subjects

Chemistry

Biology

Biotechnology or

Technical Vocational Subject

The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from the subjects given above and any other 5th subject with an aggregate of 45%(for General)and 40%(for other categories)or equivalent examination of a recognised Board or Institute in India.

Yes,Sir JEE Mains is the only option for IIEST SHIBPUR . Some years ago,when it was under State government it was used to be known as Bengal Engineering College .But now it came under central government and got the honour of being the first IIEST in India.
