GITAM is better than KLU. The approach towards both the universities is through an entrance exam and to get qualified in GITAM, you'll have to score above 200 marks. GITAM has better Infrastructure and Educational System than almost any private University in Andhra Pradesh. GITAM has got better packages in the matter of placements. There is no issue regarding the maintainance of minimum attendance percentage. It would teach you the skills required. But, GITAM is costlier than KLU.
