NCERT chemistry is good for building and clearing Basic concept but when it comes to entrance examination like jee then it is not sufficient as there are many concepts which are difficult to understand from NCERT as they have not been explained there in a elaborate manner and not many questions are there to practice , also NCERT doesn't have MCQs.

So , you cannot completely rely on NCERT for your Jee preparation.
