In terms of placement, it is good for branches like cse and ece. Its average package is 4-5 lakhs. Some good packages even reach 10-12 lakhs per annum. The highest ever package is 72 lakhs for cse student by a USA company. 

Other features like techfests add to the experience. Moreover, nit is nit. You will get all the pros of nit. 

Although, there are some problems like extreme weather, transportation problems, etc. Also the mess food is average.

Altogether, it is a good option for cse.

Congrats for getting good rank but I want to tell you if you secured 21k rank in JEE mains then you can go to other nities and other IIITies which is better than NIT srinagar I want to tell you that I am also from nit Uttarakhand but there is a problem that NIT Uttarakhand doesn't have their permanent campus till now and temporary campus of that is too much worst the lab facilities are also not there so don't take admission in NIT UTTARAKHAND try to go other nities you can take admission in College of Engineering Pune which is best for you according to your Rank if you can admission in NIT jamshedpur which you can take easily according to your rank and this is a good NIT if you like my answer then upvote it and for more help Contact me Lalit Solanki 7895545761

The Computer science engineering at NIT srinagar is good enough.
PLACEMENT:-

The placement record is not so good especially in the CIVIL and Mechanical Department as very few or none of the students is placed but as far as other branches are concerned like computer electronics electrical chemical, etc the placement record is fair with more than half of students placed.

HOSTEL FACILITIES

The hostels are good and maintained well and cleaning is done on daily basis which is quite impressive and electricity is also present most of the time except in winters and the mess food is not of that good quality but certain steps are being made by mess committee with the support of students to improve the quality of food in mess.

ALUMNI

Yes, senior students are always helpful in showing the right path as their advice can let one succeed academically as well as intellectually.

FACULTY

The faculty is well experienced and highly qualified from the reputed institutes of a national and international level. The faculty is also of very helping nature when it comes to doubt clearing but at Btech level most of the times contractual faculty is available for teaching which may not be good
