SU is known as the premier technical institute which offers academics in terms of areas including engineering, technologies, science and education. The ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has awarded Sathyabama University as an A Category university and in 2017, the university has been accredited by NAAC with Grade "A", along with a certification in DNV-GL ISO 9001 standard. In lieu of the continuous progress and contribution made by the university in the field of science and technology, it was granted the status of Deemed University in the year 2001.
