Thapar university is renowned institute of engineering and as per my knowledge civil engeenering is good at thapar university. The civil engineering program has been designed to create strong professionals who are well versed with the various aspects of domain. The department of Civil Engineering at Thapar Institute Of Engineering And Technology University, recently completed five decades of it's existence on this lush green Thapar Technology campus at Patiala.

Founded in the year of 1956, the department has created a rich legacy of alumini,  who has excelled in various fields ranging from academics to project management,  designing earthquake resistant structure to constructing bridges,  managing the ever changing needs of the our developing country.

The department is one of its kind region,  which provide not only quality undergraduate education, but also an excellent reaserch environment through it's bachelor's master's and doctoral programs.  The department has faculties from diverse streams and specializations, with state - of - the - art laboratory facilities to boot.

The civil engineering program at Thapar University is designed its graduates for continued learning and successful careers in industry,  government, academia and consulting. Our graduates are expected to: -

Now comming about placement,  which is not so good in Thapar University. Only 20% of students get placement an this stats include students for both core and non core secotrs. Stats

Simplex infrastructure - 4(22, 500 per month)

This is one of the good institute offering this course and Careers 360 rates it as AAAA+.

The infrastructure of the college is well designed.Classrooms are spacious and airy and the labs are well-equipped with all the required equipments.Library is big in all aspects. Hostel rooms are decently maintained by the staff . The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The canteen food is pretty good when compared to other universities. Placements in this institute vary between being decent and good, depending upon your communication skills.

Faculties are helpful and experienced.

The fees of this course in this institute is around 7.31 lakhs.
