Classrooms, labs, library and other facilities are good enough for students. The campus is also well maintained. However, good infrastructure does not compensate for the concerns students currently have regarding placements. all necessary facilities are present in hostels and in university.

Academics are manageable, but the experience depends a lot on the professor and the subject. The curriculum covers the required topics, although students still need to put considerable effort into coding on their own via online batch or youtube

This is the biggest disappointment for the 2027 batch. The placement season this year has felt much weaker than what many students expected when joining Thapar. Students have seen considerable competition for opportunities, and getting a good offer has become much harder. The gap between the placement expectations created by the institute's reputation and the experience of many students has been frustrating

The fees are quite high, so students naturally expect strong career opportunities in return. With the current placement situation, it is difficult for many students to feel that they are getting the same value they expected at admission. The return on investment becomes a serious concern

Campus life is still a positive part of the Thapar experience. There are societies, events, sports and plenty of opportunities to meet people and participate in activities. Friendships and college memories are definitely a strong point. However, the stress around placements has affected the overall experience for many final-year students

he university has a good environment for a technology-focused branch like Robotics and AI. The labs, classrooms and library are useful for regular academic work, and the campus has plenty of open and green areas. Cleanliness is generally maintained well. I especially like having different spaces where students can work on assignments or spend time between classes.

The branch is quite interesting because it combines programming, artificial intelligence and robotics concepts. As a student, I have found some topics easy to pick up while others need more practice. The course has a technical side that requires consistent effort, especially when working with programming and mathematical concepts. Overall, it is a good option for students who actually enjoy technology.

I am from the 2029 batch, so I have not seen the placement drive. Robotics and AI is a specialized programme, I think students may have to be flexible about the type of roles they target. There should be opportunities in software, AI, automation and related areas, but building a strong coding profile and doing relevant projects will be important.

The fees are definitely something to consider before taking admission. At the same time, students get access to a recognized university, technical facilities, clubs and different extracurricular opportunities. For someone genuinely interested in AI and robotics, I feel the exposure can make the cost reasonable, provided the student actively uses the opportunities available

There is a good mix of students from different programmes, which makes it easy to meet people outside your own branch. Technical events, clubs and college activities give plenty of chances to try something new. The green surroundings and open areas are also feel very good.

After joining the university, I was quite impressed by how much is available within the campus. The academic areas are spacious, the computer facilities are good, and the library has a comfortable setup. The greenery around the campus is also a nice change from the usual city environment. Overall, the surroundings are clean and well looked after.

I am still in my first year, so I am mainly getting familiar with the teaching pattern and college routine. The initial CSE subjects are interesting, although managing lectures, assignments and tests together takes some adjustment. Professors have generally been approachable so far, and I feel the course will become more interesting as the technical subjects increase.

It is too early for me to comment from personal experience because I have just started my degree. From the information available to us and conversations with seniors, CSE has access to a good range of career opportunities. Mean Package for my branch is 9 lpa only.

My placement experience was much better than what I had expected when I first joined. CSE students get access to a wide range of companies and job profiles. The selection process can be competitive, but there are enough opportunities for students who prepare properly. My diploma background also made me realise how important it is to start preparing for placements well before the final year

The cost of studying at Thapar is definitely significant high especially when hostel and other expenses are included. Still, for me, the exposure and opportunities during the B.Tech made the expense easier to justify. Coming from a diploma background, I got access to a much wider academic and professional environment, which added value to the degree

I enjoyed the change in lifestyle after joining Thapar. There are students from many courses and years, so the campus never feels limited to one kind of crowd. Fests, societies, sports and informal gatherings give you plenty of ways to spend time outside lectures. The friendships and confidence I developed here have probably been my favourite part of the experience

The physical setup is quite impressive. The campus has well-built academic blocks, decent laboratories and a useful library. There is also a lot of greenery, and most areas are kept reasonably clean. My only issue is that some facilities do not always feel as well maintained as you would expect from the fees.

I am not completely satisfied with what I have seen regarding career opportunities for ENC. There are companies visiting the campus, but getting a suitable role is not straightforward. Students aiming for software positions have to compete with a large number of candidates, while core electronics opportunities are comparatively narrower. I feel the placement expectations created around the university are somewhat higher than the experience for every student

The expense is difficult to ignore. Once tuition, hostel, mess and other costs are added, the four-year investment becomes quite substantial. For that level of spending, I expected stronger career support and a more consistent academic experience.

The social side of the university is enjoyable. There are plenty of student-led activities, societies, competitions and events throughout the year. I have also liked the general look of the campus, especially the trees and open areas.

The physical facilities are quite good and the campus looks well developed. Computer room, classrooms, library and sports areas are available, and the greenery gives the place a pleasant feel. Cleanliness is mostly fine although hostel maintenance and some common facilities could be handled more efficiently

My experience with the academic side has been average. There are professors from whom I have learned a lot, but the quality of teaching differs between subjects. The semester schedule can become hectic with quizzes, submissions and exams coming close together. I had to use outside resources like watching youtube videos.

There are plenty of companies to aim for, but that doesn't mean getting selected is easy. CSE has a large student pool, and competition for the better roles is quite strong. Students targeting good software positions need to spend considerable time on dsa, development and interview preparation. I wouldn't depend entirely on the placement cell for career preparation.,

Outside academics, I have had a much better experience. There are plenty of student groups, competitions, fests and sports activities to get involved in. The campus has a lively atmosphere, and there are enough green areas and hangout spots to unwind. The people I met and the friendships I made have been a major positive during my time here.

ENC gave me exposure to two different areas, which I found useful as I figured out what I wanted to pursue. The recruitment process was competitive and required consistent preparation, especially for technical rounds. The college provides access to good companies, but clearing the selection process ultimately comes down to your preparation and skill

In my case, the exposure, academic environment and placement opportunity made the investment feel worthwhile. The return you get also depends heavily on how much effort you put into developing your technical profile during the degree.

Four years here gave me plenty of memories outside the classroom. There was a good mix of technical activities, college events, sports and informal time with friends. The campus has its own rhythm, and living around the same group of students makes it easy to build strong friendships. Looking back, the people and experiences were just as valuable as the academics.

Recent figures reported for Thapar put the Computer Engineering average roughly around ₹11–14 LPA, depending on the year and programme, while overall placement rates are around the 80% range.

This is probably the main area where students need to think carefully. The current CSE-group academic fee is roughly ₹6.5 lakh per year, or around ₹26 lakh for four years, before considering hostel, mess and other expenses.

I have only recently started my Electrical Engineering course, but the beginning has been encouraging.
