infrastructure is good with new building and all the facilities student can roam all around the world without any restriction and the campus is vibrant with trees and all the enviroment it is very cool looking campus
academics is very good with all the stuff provided by the college and library is very great with all the books in all the genre and the lecture hall are all great with the teachers being very friendly
placement are great as compare to a private college all the companies come to visit and hire student from different branch the competion for the placement is really great and friendly the college also helps students with the placement
The college has outstanding infrastructure with multiple classrooms, academic blocks and practical labs. All the other necessary buildings apart from the academic blocks such as restaurants, medical centers, library and sports office are also there for the students. All the facilities are working and well maintained. They are clean and hygienic as well.
I am studying BE in Computer Science and engineering from this college as this is one of the most prestigious institutes in northern India. The teachers are well experienced, and the course curriculum is excellent. It is up to date with the recent developments in various fields and the courses prepare a student well enough to secure a job in the best companies inside and outside the country.
The placements are quite good for a Tier 2 college. Approximately 60% of the total students get placed in various companies through on campus placements. Highest Salary package was 50L p.a. for CSE student. Average salary for a CSE student is approximately 15L p.a. The placement process is quite simple and pleasant, and college gives full support to the students.
The cost of my course is 25L for four years. Yes, I feel the money is worth it because the college is providing exceptional facilities to the students as compared to other colleges and the placements are also worth the cost. also, certain students can get scholarships if they score good in college which further reduces down the cost of studying.
The campus life is outstanding. If you want to enjoy your college life then you should surely come top Thapar. It has various restaurants, shops and grocery stores within the campus. You can eat at multiple outlets.
Infrastructure is top notch and even better than some of top govt colleges in North India. Hostels are all quite spacious and food quality is ensured to be of a good standard. Library of this college is ranked as 7th globally and rightfully so. Laboratories are all equipped with modern instruments and technology ensuring hands on experience.
I have just wrapped up with COE 1st year and Thapar has a policy of teaching same subjects to all the students irrespective of their branch. Thus in 1st year a variety of subjects of different fields are taught rather than branch specific subjects. I feel quality of teaching is satisfactory and curriculum is well equipped to help in placements after graduation.
Approximately 450 companies visit campus for full time placements or internships every placement season. Placement cell is very supportive and helpful. Students with decent cgpa and adequate skills ensure a great placement in top companies. Avg package offered by companies is about 13-14 lpa.
Fees of this college is considered to be in higher end of the spectrum but great scholarship are offered at a decent cgpa so a student who is concerned about finances can maintain a good cgpa and get even the whole fees wavered. Per semester fees is appx 3 lakh but for me it got wavered on basis of jee rank.
Campus life is everything I could have ever asked for. The events like Helix, Saturnalia are goated. Sports culture is highly promoted. Location is in prime of a tier-2 city so it is overall quite safe but city can be a bit boring at times but cafe culture is improving slowly at places like Leela bhawan nd 22no.
Great and Well Built Infrastructure , Great Library and Activity Space for studying. Projectors in class rooms with clear screening. Hygienic mess and Hostel Facilities. Well built infrastructure and the college is still expanding, refurbishing old departments and making new ones as well.
Tough to Moderate level of examinations. Currently pursuing BE in Computer Engineering. Updated curriculum for most branches - for eg. Engineering Drawing taught on AutoCAD which is better than paper drawings being taught in other colleges. Approachable faculty with good level of teaching.
Even with lots of lay offs, good placement record to to vast alumni support. Excellent startup culture in college with a whole building - VentureLabs for entrepreneurship and related fields. Students can also get funding if they do well enough.
Dispite high fee, one can get scholarship and a good placement can make them get the ROI they really want from this well reputed college. Overall it can be considered a decent value for money and one should definitely visit atleast once before making up your mind.
Excellent campus life with a lot of clubs and societies in each and every field you can imagine. Lots of campus opportunities for placements and internships during summer breaks as well. Overall great campus with lovely people around you.
The college has very good infrastructure. It has modern classrooms, well equipped labs. The library is very spacious and has extremely good collection of books and digital resources. Also, the environment is very clean and green.
The academic environment is quite good and focuses on both practical and theoretical learning. Regular assignments, quiz, lab work help in improving practical understanding. The curriculum is fairly updated.
Placements at our college are generally good. Many well known companies visit the campus every year for recruitment. The average salary offered here is 15 LPA+ and the percentage of students placed is generally around 95%.
The tuition fee costs around 3LPA, but considering the facilities, academic environment, and placement opportunities, studying at this college offers fairly good value for money.
NA
Yes, the infrastructure is very well built for student to be able to study and work properly, especially the library, lecture halls, and the laboratories. Hostels are very clean and hygienic. There are occasionally some issues with the network connectivity in various parts of the campus
I am studying ML, my courses however have a huge overlap with the courses in the CS courses. The quality of teaching is pretty good. The curriculum of my branch includes all the recent developments and is updated every semester.
Quality of placements in the past few years has been pretty good and is only going upwards each year, the average placement percentage of the last 3 years being over 95%, the average CTC being offered is about 10 LPA
The infrastructure here is great, all the facilities in terms of both academics and extracurricular-wise. The classrooms have been refurbished and have been updated to high standards. The hostels are very clean and hygienic to stay in.
I am a 2nd year chemical engineering student here, the professors here are outstanding and definitely explain all the concepts clearly. The curriculum is definitely upto industry standards and the college frequently takes us to industry visits as well.
According to my seniors the placements for chemical engineering specifically it is very good, the placement rate has been over 97% for a few years and good companies come here for placements.average salary offered here is around 12 lpa
Thapar has a great infrastructure with nice hostels and smart classrooms. Almost all the necessities are met .The labs are well equipped with everything one might need. And the library is really good. Although the constant development can cause some trouble in commuting to classrooms. But overall the infrastructure in actually really nice
The curriculum of thapar university is well in coordination with all the other good universities. As a student of computer Science I would say their curriculum needs a little updation to meet the industry level standards
Placements in the recent years have taken a slight dip. Approximately 80-85% students were placed in the recent placement drive . Highest going to about 70 lpa offered to a computer science student and a few good companies have blacklisted the college as well
Infrastructure is amazing. Classes are very huge and maintained. High technology of equipments are used in laboratories. Library is very large and good. Greenery is very much. Consists many cafetarias. Overall very huge
Academics are excellent in this college. Teachers are very knowledgable and supportive their main focus stays in concept clarity. Currently pursuing btech biotech and completely satisfied with the academics of the college.
Placements are good in this college. The average package lasts around 10-11 lac per annum and highest was recorded around 30 lac per annum. The college promise around 85% of placement rate and is very supportive in bringing more and more and good companies to the campus for recruitment.
