Admission in BSc Biotechnology course in Manipal University is purely on merit basis and not on any entrance exam.

The eligibility criteria is as such:

For Indian Boards:

Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry, English and Physics / Biotechnology / Mathematics / any other Life Sciences subject as optional subject, from a recognized Board with minimum 55 % aggregate marks or equivalent, taken together in Biology, Chemistry and Physics / Biotechnology / Mathematics / any other Life Sciences subject.

A Level

Biology, Chemistry and Biotechnology / Mathematics / Physics / any other Life Science subject in the ‘A’ Levels plus English in the ‘AS’ Level / IGCSE / GCSE and Minimum requirement is an average of ‘C’ grade but not less than ‘D’ grade in Chemistry, Biology and optional subject.

For IB Board

Biology, Chemistry, English, and Physics / Biotechnology / Mathematics or any other Life Science subject and IB Diploma or IB Certificate with minimum average of 4 points for Biology, Chemistry and Physics / Biotechnology / Mathematics or any other Life Science subject with overall minimum 24 points

The admission in BSC Biotechnology in Manipal school of life sciences is based on merit, there is no entrance exam for admission in same in the university, the minimum eligibility criteria to get admission in the same is that the candidate must have passed their 10+2 with physics, chemistry,  English and Biology as mandatory subject with at least 55% marks.
