Admission is strictly on the basis of her main rank . Direct admission is possible if you are son/daughter of any politician after qualifying jee fill the form of joint  application counseling through which you can make your way to dtu but to get admission you must have scored good . And main preference is given to residents of Delhi

There is no such thing as direct admission for universities like DTU or NSUT.
Admissions are strictly on the basis of merit prepared by the ranks obtained in JEE MAINS paper.
Though admissions can also taken for B.tech lateral entry programs, but they are also on the basis of merit.
So, if you want to take admission in DTU then you need to get a rank below 20k, to get a good branch in DTU.
