Hello,
Yes, you can get admission in DTU and IIIT Hyderabad with an outstanding JEE Main rank, as long as you pass Class 12 with at least 60% marks in PCM.
if we talk about DTU (Delhi Technological University) — you must have at least 60% in PCM and pass all subjects. The 75% rule is not strictly applicable here, so you can get admission based on your JEE Main rank and Delhi quota, if applicable.
For IIIT Hyderabad, admission is based on JEE Main percentile/rank, but the institute also requires a minimum of 60% in Class 12 (PCM). So, even with less than 75%, you are eligible if you meet this 60% requirement.
Hope you understand. ALL THE BEST.
Hello,
For DTU B.Tech admission , the closing ranks for OBC category (Outside Delhi) in popular branches are roughly:
CSE: 56,000
IT: 71,000
SE: 83,000
These are approximate closing ranks from the latest round of counseling. Admission is based on JEE Main rank through JAC Delhi counseling .
So, check your rank against these numbers to see your chances, and make sure to participate in the counseling process accordingly.
Hello,
With a JEE Main rank of 1,80,000 in General category (Delhi region, Defence Priority VI) , you will not get admission in DTU Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Engineering) .
The closing rank for this branch in 2024 was around 56,000 (Delhi-General) , and even under Defence (Priority VI) , the closing rank was around 79,000 . Since your rank is much higher than these cut-offs, admission is not possible.
Hope it helps !
if you got an RT in your improvement exam, you are not eligible for DTU through JAC Delhi counselling, even if your other marks improved.actually RT means you have failed that subject's theory paper and JAC Delhi requires candidates to pass all necessary subjects.
you are ineligible, as you have not met the basic passing requirement.
Hope it helps!!!
Hey:)
Thanks for reaching out!
Admission chances ar DTU or NSUT with a category-wise JEE rank of 25,775 largely depends on key factors such as your daughter's category, whether she falls under Delhi home quota or outside Delhi quota, and the branch she prefers. However, getting CSE/AI/ECE maybe difficult, since their closing ranks are usually lower. However, depending on the category and quota there could still be scope for admission in some core or less competitive branches in the later counselling rounds.
However, for more accurate answer, the category, preferred branch, and quota need to be considered.

DTU Electrical is the best overall in terms of brand, placements, and opportunities.
NSUT ECE is a close second, especially for tech roles.
BIT Mesra ECE is good academically but slightly behind DTU/NSUT in placements.
IGDTUW ECE is a decent option with location advantage for female candidates.

yes you can still get admission in some b.tech stream at dtu but it depends entirely on your jee main rank , category and stream your targeting dtu admission Are done through josaa and csab counselling based on jee main ranks while branches like civil , mechanical and biotechnology have higher closing rank giving more chances to students with mid range ranks if you belong to a reserved category your chances improve as category wise cutoffs are more relaxed so yes admission is possible
Hello student,
No, DTU (Delhi Technological University) does not use CUET for its B.Tech admissions. CUET is used for other undergraduate programs at DTU, like BBA, BA (Hons.) Economics, and B.Des.
DTU primarily uses JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions.
You can check the courses and eligibility here:
