You can sit for the placement of IT or CS branch as well. he term 'job' in a software company covers a wide area of work, there are jobs which don't even use programming too. If you have talent and confidence that you can do it then go for it. Branch cannot stop you for achieving your goal. You must learn any programming like C,C++,Java. you can pick any one start learning. Then your Data Structure and Algorithm must be good. Companies look for the candidates who can solve their problems smartly and efficiently. So that's it, If you want it, go ahead and snatch it.
