Hi Ahalya.

Pursuing AME is a good choice and your doubt is understandable because we do not see students eager for this course but do not let this deter you. First let us see what AME actually is and what is its scope.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering(AME) is one of the most renowned course in the Aviation Sector approved by DGCA, Government of india. AME course emphasizes the repair, maintenance, and resolving issues of an aircraft, Aviation Sector encompasses a broad range of career opportunities for those who aspire to be an Aircraft maintenance engineer or who want to make a career in the aviation sector. Aircraft maintenance engineering is the branch of engineering continuously excelling in delivering aircraft maintenance engineers to the aviation sector. A Certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer can work in both the Private and Public sectors. Know more about the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering(AME) course in the information given below.

SCOPE:

It has a wide scope in the aviation sector. All companies (national and international) are looking for a large number of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers for the maintenance works of their aircraft.

So, it is guaranteed that no AME will become unemployed after the successful completion of this course. By the by those who are completing Aeronautical Engineering course can opt-in other areas too and they have better scope in Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

The opportunity does not limit to India only it extends to few companies in abroad too. So there is a huge wanted in some aviation companies in western countries and the US. The aviation sector is functioning in a condition of acute shortage of AME. So, there is a huge demand for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in the future.

Make sure you take a good time before finalising the college or university you wish to pursue it from. Good exposure to hands-on learning is vital in this course.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck
