Hello,

No for admission in IITs for M.E/M.Tech course you need to give GATE. Admission in IITs for M.E/M.Tech course is based on the GATE score. Admissions are done the basis of rank obtained in GATE Test, and interview. GATE is conducted to shortlist candidates for admission in PG engineering courses. GATE scores are also taken into consideration during PSU recruitments. GATE is conducted jointly by the seven IITs
