Correct Answer: English Education

Solution : The correct answer is English education.

An important contribution to the introduction of English and Western ideas to Indian education was made by Macaulay. Macaulay begged Lord William Bentinck, the Governor-General, to replace Persian as the official language, implement English as the medium of instruction in all schools, and train English-speaking Indians to teach in schools in his well-known Minute on the English Education Act 1835. The Council of India passed legislation in the form of the English Education Act of 1835.
