Hello Prajakta,

BSc Biotechnology and DMLT are two courses which are quite different from each other.

First talking about Biotechnology, Biotechnology is a vast field consisting of many sub-branches including biochemistry, microbiology, animal and plant tissue culture,  biostatistics, bioinformatics medical microbiology and so on. Entering into biotechnology will help you enter either research field or into some biotechnology industry. biotechnology is mostly a research based field.

On the other hand DMLT is a paramedical course listed under professional courses. It consists of subjects like hematology, biochemistry, medical microbiology and other diagnosis based subjects. Completing this course you may work in a pathology laboratory as a technician or you may further study to complete BMLT and MD to open your own diagnostic laboratory.

I am providing you with two links which may help you sort your confusion
