Hello,

The float option is selected by a candidate when they have been allotted a seat in their initial round of allotment but the candidate wishes to upgrade their seat in the next allotment round based on their preferences. In such a case the initial seat of the candidate will be preserved and if in the next allotment round the candidate gets the upgraded seat then they get that otherwise they can take admission in the seat initially allotted to them .
