Your chance depends on your category, the eligibility criteria for NITs IIITs GFTIs clearly mentioned that general and OBC candidate having less than 75% marks in 12th is not eligible for a seat in these colleges, similarly SC or st candidate securing less than 65% marks cannot get a seat in this college as this is the basic eligibility criteria. Since you have secured 61%, you are not eligible for IITs. I am sorry to disappoint you but this criteria do not change in the middle of admission process.
